STORY NO.1 FILTER TEST

In ancient India,

One day a person met the great Chanakya, and said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend ?"

"Hold on a minute, "Chanakya replied.
"Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test.

It's called the Triple Filter Test."

"Triple  Filter?"

"That's right, "Chanakya continued.

"Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you are going to say.

That's why I call it the triple filter test.

The first filter is Truth
have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true..?"
"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and..."

"All right, "said Chanakya.
"So you don't know if it is true or not.

Now, let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness.
Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good..?"

"No, on the contrary..."
"So, "Chanakya continued, you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true.

You may still pass the test though, because there's one last filter left,

the filter of Usefulness.

Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"
"No, not really."

"Well, " Chanakya concluded, "If what you want to tell me is neither true nor good even useful, why you want to tell it to me at all..?"

Use this triple filter each time you hear loose talk about any of your near and dear ones.

STORY NO.2 SMARTNESS OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

When Swami Vivekananda was studying law at the University College, London, a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely.

One day, Mr. Peters was having lunch at the dining room, when Swami Vivekananda came along with his tray and sat next to the professor.

The Professor said, "Mr. Vivekananda, you do not understand. A pig and the bird do not sit together to eat."

Vivekanandji looked at him as a parent would do with a rude child and calmly replied, "You do not worry professor. I'll fly away, " and he went and sat at another table.

Mr. Peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge.

The next day in class he posed the following question:
"Mr. Vivekananda, if you were walking down the street and found a package of two bags one was a bag of wisdom and another bag was a full of money, which one would you take..?

Without hesitating, Vivekanandji responded, "The one with the money of course."

Mr. Peters, smiling sarcastically said, "I, in your place, would have taken the wisdom."

Swami Vivekananda shruggued & responded, "Each one takes what he dosen't have..."

Mr. Peters, by this time was fit to be tied. So great was his anger that he wrote on Swami Vivekananda's exam sheet the word "idiot" and give it to the Swami Vivekananda.

Vivekanandji took the exam sheet and sat down at his desk trying very hard to remain calm while he contemplated his next move.

A few minutes later, Swami Vivekananda got up, went to the professor and told him in a dignified polite tone, "Mr. Peters, you signed the sheet, but you did not give me the grade."

Conclusion: Do not mess with the Intelligent's.

STORY NO.3 CHALLENGE IS TO SILENCE THE MIND.

Once there was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the farm. It was not a ordinary watch because it has a sentimental value for him.

After searching the hey for a long while, he gave up and call the help of group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the, person who found it, would be rewarded.
Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the hay but still could not find the watch.

Just when the farmer is about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance. The farmer looked at him and thought, Why not? After all this kids looks sincere enough."

So the farmer sent the little boy back in the barn. After a while a little boy came out with the watch in his hand. The farmer was happy and surprised and so he asked the boy how he succeeded where the rest had failed. The boy replied, "I did nothing but sat on the ground and tried to listened, in the silence, I heard the ticking of the watch and just looked for it in that direction."
